I own and operate all my own equipment. From essential kit like tripods and batteries to more specialist items such as the lightweight jib or dolly, as well as those little gadgets that just make life easier – my handheld wireless monitor, for example.

I carry a large selection of lighting as ‘standard’. Whether its a dedo or an HMI that is needed, I always have the right lamp for the job. No mains is no problem as I have three battery powered lights.

I use filters to control extremes of contrast and exposure outside the normal range of the camera or to add dramatic shadows to scenes with less contrast. I often ‘soften’ a shot or occasionally turn a grey sky blue.
All my cameras will shoot progressive ‘25p’ as opposed to interlaced ‘50i’ footage. I have a full set of prime lenses which when used with a ’Pro35’ adaptor or ‘CANON 5D’ give stunning film-like shallow depth of field.

 

I am now regularly shooting video on a Canon 5D stills camera. I have bought the kinomatik rig (click to see one)
which enables the camera to be integrated into a system with prime lenses, follow focus, mattebox, batteries etc etc. Please contact me for more details.

 

I provide a Mercedes location vehicle, which seats up to five people and safely transports all my equipment. It is packed with gadgets and is equipped with satellite navigation and an on board Monitor – great for tracking shots and ‘on the way home playback’. I am fully insured for class II business use.
